PCM S.D. College for Women organizes Powerpoint Presentation Competition in Commemoration of Central Excise Day
The PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Powerpoint Presentation Competition to commemorate the “Central Excise Day” which is celebrated every year by Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs to honor the services of officers of CBIC.
Jalandhar, May 16, 2024: The PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Powerpoint Presentation Competition to commemorate the “Central Excise Day” which is celebrated every year by Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs to honor the services of officers of CBIC.
Central Excise Day is celebrated annually to aware people about the hard work and commitment of CBIC. The main function of CBIC is to keep a check on the corruption of goods from the manufacturing industries. The CBIC officers play a critical role in the country's industrial development. Every Indian citizen must pay taxes to contribute in the country's economic progress.
The Power Point Presentation Competition was organized to increase awareness amongst the students about Indirect Taxes and Indian Taxation System. The students of B. Com Sem- IV gave power point presentations on various topics of Goods & Services Taxes.
The E – Presentation topics were - GST Council by Palak, GST & Its Components by Sanjana, Composition Scheme by Chahat, Constitutional Amendments by Palak, Features of GST by Sneha, Overview of GST – Law & Procedures by Vaishnavi. The winners were appreciated and were given prizes for their commendable performance.
Thirty-two students of PG Department of Commerce and Management actively participated in this event. It was an innovative approach to educate the students regarding the various aspects of Indirect Taxes/Goods and Services Taxes in India.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the Department of Commerce and Management for successfully organizing the event.
