PCM S.D. Collegiate School Celebrates Human Rights Day
Department of Political Science of PCM S.D. Collegiate School celebrated Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm. As part of the celebration, a poster-making competition was organized to raise awareness about human rights and their significance.
Jalandhar, December 11, 2024: Department of Political Science of PCM S.D. Collegiate School celebrated Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm. As part of the celebration, a poster-making competition was organized to raise awareness about human rights and their significance.
Assistant Professor Jaswinder Kaur of the Department of Political Science addressed the students, enlightening them about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations. Her talk emphasized the importance of human rights in shaping a just and equitable society.
Students participated with zeal, creating impactful posters highlighting various aspects of human rights. Bhavya of +1 Arts secured the first prize, while Tanu of +1 Arts won the second prize. The third prize was shared by Kirandeep of +2 Arts and Sakshi of +1 Arts.
Sushma Sharma, In-charge of the Collegiate Block, congratulated the winners and applauded all participants for their creativity and active involvement. Faculty members Monica, Ruhi, and Nitika were also present at the event, extending their support.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Vinod Dada, the other members of the Managing Committee and the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar, appreciated the efforts of the Department of Political Science and commended the students for their enthusiasm in promoting awareness of human rights.
