Jalandhar: NCC wing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with NSS Celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on the occasion of 147th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. NCC Cadets made beautiful rangoli and circulated the message of strengthening unity and integrity of our nation. Cadets also made a human chain to reaffirm the commitment to preserve the unity, integrity and harmony of our nation. Cadets participated in "Run for Unity" programme and covered a distance of 1.5 km near the college campus. The run for unity programme initiated from the college gate under the able guidance of Associate NCC Officer, Captain Priya Mahajan and NSS incharge, Manmeet.
The objective of this run was to instill a feeling of unity, patriotism, national pride and a sense of belonging. After that, a pledge ceremony was done in the morning assembly along with the worthy Principal Prof (Dr.) Pooja Prashar, members of the staff, NCC cadets and the students of the college.
The students along with staff members took a pledge for the unity of nation. President Naresh Kumar Budhia ji, other members of the Managing Committee and the Principal lauded the efforts the NCC team and Captain, Priya Mahajaan, incharge of NCC Wing for organising this successful event.
