PCM S.D.College for Women organises Workshop on "Nurturing Entrepreneurial Skills through Beauty and Grooming"
The Department of Cosmetology of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a four-day workshop titled "Nurturing Entrepreneurial Skills through Beauty and Grooming". This initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and the Incubation Cell, aiming to empower students with entrepreneurial skills through innovative beauty practices.
Jalandhar, December 2, 2024: The Department of Cosmetology of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a four-day workshop titled "Nurturing Entrepreneurial Skills through Beauty and Grooming". This initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and the Incubation Cell, aiming to empower students with entrepreneurial skills through innovative beauty practices.
One of the highlights of the workshop was a session on creating a DIY face pack for oily skin using natural ingredients such as orange peel, fuller’s earth, and rose water. To promote sustainable practices, students collected orange peels from local juice corners and bars. The peels were naturally sun-dried and ground into a fine powder, showcasing an eco-friendly approach to beauty care.
Participants received a detailed demonstration of the face pack preparation process, including its application techniques and benefits. The workshop concluded with students receiving samples of the homemade face pack, encouraging them to explore similar entrepreneurial ventures.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, esteemed members of the managing committee, and the Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar, appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and innovative efforts. Their commendation inspired the students to further hone their entrepreneurial skills in the field of beauty and grooming.
