PCM S.D.College for Women organizes Seminar on “E-Waste Management”
A seminar on "E-Waste Management" was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science and IT of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with the Green & Environment Audit Cell.
Jalandhar, April 24, 2024: A seminar on "E-Waste Management" was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science and IT of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with the Green & Environment Audit Cell.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness among today's youth about the importance of managing e-waste responsibly. Mohit Kumar, the Head, and Mr. Aryan Sharma, Supervisor of the planter, from Recycling Villa - The Recycling Solutions (Ldh, Punjab) were invited to guide students on the proper recycling of electrical and electronic (WEEE) waste in accordance with government guidelines.
During the seminar, Kumar emphasized that electronic devices classified as e-waste can pose threats to the environment and human health if not treated, disposed of, and recycled correctly.
At the conclusion of the event, Ujla Dada Joshi, the Incharge of the Green and Environment Audit Cell and Shivani Sharma, the Head of the PG Department of Computer Science and IT expressed their appreciation and congratulated the IT group, Dean Dr. Lovely, and the event organizers - Sapna, Jaspreet Kaur, Shalini, and Akansha - for the successful organization of the seminar.
President Naresh Budhia, Vice President Vinod Dada, the other members of the managing committee and the esteemed Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the dedicated efforts of the Department and Green & Environment Audit Cell in organizing the seminar.
