PCTE celebrates its 13th annual convocation
Eight hundred brilliant students graduated from PCTE Group of Institutes today morning at the 13th Annual Convocation function, 2021
Ludhiana, December 18, 2021: Eight hundred brilliant students graduated from PCTE Group of Institutes today morning at the 13th Annual Convocation function, 2021. On the occasion, Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, honored the occasion as the Chief Guest. Students received degrees in various disciplines like MBA, MBA-IB, MCA, B. Pharmacy, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Medical Lab Sciences, BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BCA, BHMCT, Journalism & Mass Communication, Fashion Designing, and ATHM. Keeping in mind the significant presence of the international students on campus, there was a parade of students from 55 countries including India with their respective flags that lead the ceremonial Academic Congregation.
The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest, Prof. Rajeev Ahuja where he first congratulated the students for the completion of their degree, and then urged the students to keep in mind that country needs innovators and entrepreneurs and that they should strive to be job providers than being job seekers. He also stressed the fact that the world is witnessing a groundbreaking advancement in different careers due to which there exist multiple jobs and career opportunities. Now more than ever before, the youth must be well equipped for the same.
The students were awarded trophies for their excellent performance, Mr. Arjun Sethi from BBA 2006-2009 was awarded as “The Best Alumni Award” for his outstanding professional and personal success over the last decade, where he has established the largest and one of the most sophisticated Flour Mill in North India. He encouraged the students to follow Honestly, Humility and Hope.
Mr. Puneet Pal who completed his Bachelors of Business Administration in the year 2020 was awarded Wg.Cdr.H.S.Gill award for his overall excellent performance. He said, “I am happy to receive this prestigious award after completion of my course. He added, “It is a defining moment in every student's life-giving his self-esteem a boost”
The students who outshined with their groundbreaking performances were presented the college colors awards, Modou Lamin Fatty was bestowed in the literary category followed by James Haiveta Toapiri for the Music category, Ms. Gurjyot Kaur from Biotech 2018 batch & Mr. Supreet Singh from BBA 2017 batch were awarded for the athletics category. And at last Ms. Aditi Dviwedi was awarded in the category of Entrepreneurship.
Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said he was glad that the graduation ceremony went off really well. He congratulated the graduates on the completion of their education and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
