PCTE Celebrates Women’s Day with JCI Ludhiana, Honoring Women and Raising Health Awareness
PCTE Group of Institutes, in collaboration with JCI Ludhiana, organized a special Women’s Day celebration on 22nd March 2025, with a strong emphasis on women’s health and empowerment. The event featured a thought-provoking session on cervical cancer, delivered by Dr. Venus Bansal, Senior Consultant in Gynecology and Obstetrics, titled “Teal Wings of Hope: Cervical Cancer.”

Ludhiana, March 22, 2025: PCTE Group of Institutes, in collaboration with JCI Ludhiana, organized a special Women’s Day celebration on 22nd March 2025, with a strong emphasis on women’s health and empowerment. The event featured a thought-provoking session on cervical cancer, delivered by Dr. Venus Bansal, Senior Consultant in Gynecology and Obstetrics, titled “Teal Wings of Hope: Cervical Cancer.”
Dr. Bansal captivated the audience with an insightful overview of cervical cancer, detailing key prevention and treatment strategies. She highlighted the alarming rise of cervical cancer cases in India, sharing the statistic that 19.3 million new cancer cases were reported in 2020, and emphasized the global risk, with one out of five individuals worldwide at risk.
During her address, Dr. Bansal stressed the importance of regular Pap smear screenings and HPV vaccinations, saying, “The heartbeat should go on, and life should go on,” encouraging every young girl to receive the HPV vaccine to protect their health. The session was highly interactive, with teachers and students engaging in meaningful dialogue through questions and discussions, making it a highly impactful experience for all attendees.
Dr. Bansal ended her session with a powerful and inspiring quote: “Once a king said to the queen, ‘We bleed, and we save the country,’ and the queen replied, ‘We bleed and create the country.’”
The event also included a special token of appreciation ceremony. Jasmin Kaur, President of JCI Ludhiana, Sumit Goyal, and the entire JCI team were recognized for their valuable contributions. Additionally, the JCI Family presented a token of gratitude to Dr. K.N.S. Kang, who is known for his commitment to holistic education, innovation, and leadership. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Karan Chopra, Project Director of JCI Ludhiana to society and their relentless pursuit of excellence.
