PCTE- Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized Guest Session on Hypertension Awareness and its Management
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PCTE Group of Institutes organized an informative talk on Hypertension Awareness and its Management, where Dr. Naved Aslam, MBBS, MD (Medicine) and DM in Cardiology, Hero Heart DMC Hospital delivered a session to the students of B.Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy.
Ludhiana, September 8, 2022: The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, PCTE Group of Institutes organized an informative talk on Hypertension Awareness and its Management, where Dr. Naved Aslam, MBBS, MD (Medicine) and DM in Cardiology, Hero Heart DMC Hospital delivered a session to the students of B.Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy.
Dr. Aslam, who is one of a renowned Cardiologist of the city during his address elucidated the audience on how raised blood pressure (Hypertension) may lead to Cardiovascular Co-morbidities. He further discussed various treatment options available for the given problem including non-pharmacological as well as pharmacological interventions. Apart from this, Dr. Aslam emphasised on the fact that nowadays stress is the main root cause of many problems being faced in the lives of working professionals as well as youngsters.
Seema Thakur, Coordinator, Pharmacology Domain, PCTE said that the institute organises such sessions for the students on regular basis as these talks help in the overall development of the youngsters.
Dr. Puneet Utreja, Director, Faculty of Pharm. Sciences, PCTE said that it is important to organise such sessions as they are very useful to enhance the knowledge base of the students and having such renowned personalities come in and share their knowledge would give a huge amount of exposure to the learners.
Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences along with students for successfully organizing the national seminar whereby he added by saying that it was of great learning for everyone who attended moreover especially for the students opting their future in the Indian pharmaceuticals industry.
