PCTE Festaweek 2024 Kicks Off with Vibrant Nukkad Natak Performances at Rakh Bagh
PCTE Group of Institutes kick-started their much-anticipated Festaweek 2024 with a series of captivating Nukkad Natak performances, bringing attention to vital social issues. Hosted at the picturesque Rakh Bagh, the event was supported by AIT Overseas and saw a dynamic display of talent from the junior students of PCTE, who used their performances to spark impactful conversations and inspire positive societal change.
Ludhiana, October 6, 2024: PCTE Group of Institutes kick-started their much-anticipated Festaweek 2024 with a series of captivating Nukkad Natak performances, bringing attention to vital social issues. Hosted at the picturesque Rakh Bagh, the event was supported by AIT Overseas and saw a dynamic display of talent from the junior students of PCTE, who used their performances to spark impactful conversations and inspire positive societal change.
The Nukkad Natak acts touched upon a broad spectrum of topics such as drug abuse, male harassment, corruption, cyber security, women empowerment, rape cases, mental health, suicides, farmer protection, mobile addiction, superstition, justice, and the influence of social media. These performances not only entertained the audience but also fostered meaningful discussions, showcasing the transformative power of theatre to engage communities and drive awareness.
A total of 18 teams participated in the Nukkad Natak competition, each presenting emotionally charged narratives. Their performances were judged by two esteemed panelists, Mr. Brij Mohan Bhardwaj and Mr. Balwinder, based on criteria such as the depth of the message, audience engagement, and overall impact. The winners of the competition will be declared on October 11th, 2024.
Dr. Swapan Chanana, Director of Student Welfare at PCTE, applauded the students for their extraordinary efforts, highlighting how these performances, though on a small scale, carried significant messages that urged collective responsibility and action.
Dr. KNS Kang, Director-General of PCTE, commended the students’ creativity and passion, reaffirming the institute's commitment to providing a platform for young talent to engage in socially relevant issues.
