PCTE Group of Institutes celebrated International Culinary Fest

PCTE Group of Institutes organized an International Culinary fest where the students from different countries like Swaziland, Sudan, Burundi, Seychelles, Zambia, Chad, Lesotho, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Bhutan and few more countries participated and prepared food of their native country with full excitement and enthusiasm.

Ludhiana, March 22, 2023: PCTE Group of Institutes organized an International Culinary fest where the students from different countries like Swaziland, Sudan, Burundi, Seychelles, Zambia, Chad, Lesotho, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Bhutan and few more countries participated and prepared food of their native country with full excitement and enthusiasm.


Alnoor, Abdallaha, Ibrahim, Araki, Majdi and Yasein, students from Sudan prepared Gurasa- a yeasted flatbread that is soft and fluffy, perfect to go with the Peas and Potatoes Stew, Salabia- small balls of light dough fried in hot oil then coated in sugar and chocolate and Kabsa- made with rice (usually basmati), meat, vegetables, and a mixture of spices. Similarly, students from 25 countries prepared the dishes of their native region.


Patricia, a student from Seychelles said that the event provided a unique opportunity for students to learn and experience different cultures through food. It has been a great way for students to connect with one another and build international friendships.


Dr K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that the food festival would not have completed without the participation of the International students and congratulated the entire team for successfully organizing the fest, he added by saying that fests like these help us to explore the global culture and encourage students to enhance their other skills apart from scoring well in academics. Dr. Kang stressed that PCTE provides global exposure to its students with more than 360 International students from 46 countries studying on campus.
