PCTE Group of Institutes Concludes International Student Week 2025 with Spectacular Grand Finale
The much-anticipated International Student Week (ISW) 2025, hosted by the PCTE Group of Institutes, has come to a grand conclusion today, marking the successful culmination of a week-long celebration of global diversity, culture, sports, and talent. The event, which commenced on March 8, brought together PCTE's international students from across the globe to showcase their vibrant cultures, competitive spirit, and creativity.

Ludhiana, March 15, 2025: The much-anticipated International Student Week (ISW) 2025, hosted by the PCTE Group of Institutes, has come to a grand conclusion today, marking the successful culmination of a week-long celebration of global diversity, culture, sports, and talent. The event, which commenced on March 8, brought together PCTE's international students from across the globe to showcase their vibrant cultures, competitive spirit, and creativity.
On the first day of the event, participants enjoyed a cultural trip to Amritsar, where they had the opportunity to visit the iconic Golden Temple, Wagah Border and experience the rich history and traditions of the region, making the experience even more memorable.
The exciting week kicked off with two days of intense sports competition, featuring football, basketball, and volleyball. The first two days were dedicated to preliminary rounds, with the final showdown taking place on March 11th, where teams battled it out for the top spots in their respective sports. The energy and sportsmanship demonstrated by all the participants were a testament to the power of unity through sports.
The sports competitions at the International Student Week (ISW) 2025 saw intense action across multiple disciplines, with South Sudan emerging as the top performer, winning both the Basketball (Boys) and Football (Boys and Girls) events. Zimbabwe triumphed in the Basketball (Girls) category, while Netball (Girls) and Volleyball (Girls) were both claimed by the All Nations team. Additionally, Zimbabwe and Malawi shared third place in the Football competition, marking an exciting conclusion to the week of sports.
On March 12, the ISW 2025 World Culinary Carnival took center stage, offering a flavorful journey through global cuisines. Students from a diverse array of countries, including Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Tanzania, Swaziland, Burundi, Rwanda, Gambia, Nigeria, South Sudan, Liberia, Malawi, DRC, South Africa, Bhutan, and Zambia, showcased their traditional dishes, creating an atmosphere of celebration and cross-cultural exchange. The culinary delights allowed participants and guests alike to savor the unique tastes of different regions, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for the world’s culinary heritage.
The following day, March 13, featured the ISW 2025 Global Village – a lively and colorful display of international cultures and traditions. This event provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with the global community, where visitors could explore cultural exhibits, enjoy traditional attire from various countries, and learn about the unique customs and practices that define different cultures. The Global Village served as a beautiful reminder of the rich cultural diversity that thrives within the PCTE Group of Institutes.
As the Grand finale of the International Student Week 2025, today’s closing ceremony brought together the best of fashion, music, and dance, celebrating the talents and creativity of the international student body. The afternoon featured an exciting Fashion Show, where students proudly showcased traditional and contemporary outfits from their respective countries. The Traditional Dance performances were a vibrant display of the rich cultural heritage represented by the participants, leaving the audience captivated and mesmerized. The Musical Performances added an extra layer of excitement, with international students showcasing their musical prowess and connecting through the universal language of music.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of the sports events, culinary competitions, and other performances were honored for their outstanding contributions and talents. The ceremony marked the end of an unforgettable week, filled with joy, celebration, and a deeper understanding of the world’s diverse cultures.
