PCTE Group of Institutes organises "Run for Cleanliness" event to promote greener environment

PCTE Group of Institutes recently hosted the "Run for Cleanliness," a dynamic initiative aimed at advocating for a cleaner and more sustainable environment. This event not only promoted environmental awareness but also  marked the beginning of the highly anticipated Athletics Meet.   The marathon witnessed a vibrant turnout, with over 600 students from various departments participating, alongside faculty members . Their collective involvement highlighted Pcteians' unwavering commitment to positive environmental change.

Ludhiana, February 25, 2025: PCTE Group of Institutes recently hosted the "Run for Cleanliness," a dynamic initiative aimed at advocating for a cleaner and more sustainable environment. This event not only promoted environmental awareness but also  marked the beginning of the highly anticipated Athletics Meet.   The marathon witnessed a vibrant turnout, with over 600 students from various departments participating, alongside faculty members . Their collective involvement highlighted Pcteians' unwavering commitment to positive environmental change.

The event kicked off with the PCTE flag proudly waving, symbolizing the energy and resolve of the student body. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as participants displayed immense dedication while staying disciplined and mindful of their surroundings. College staff stationed throughout the route ensured the event ran smoothly and safely, with minimal disruption to public spaces.

This campaign proves our focus on social responsibility. Through this campaign, we hope to create a sense of responsibility among people towards a healthier and cleaner future . Volunteers ran with enthusiasm through prescribed routes, promoting the message of sustainability and hygiene. The marathon was preceded by a cleanliness drive, where volunteers actively participated in clearing waste, separating garbage, and making people aware of the need to keep the environment clean. The event will provide a ground for people to participate in physical activity while supporting a worthycause.Participants are also advised to dress comfortably and bring their own water bottles to keep themselves hydrated during the race.   

PCTE Group of Institutes continues to take active initiatives in developing social and environmental awareness among the young generation.  The event concluded with a ceremony where participants and winners were recognized for their commitment to the cause. PCTE extends its heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated, volunteered, and supported the initiative.

Dr. K.N.S. Kang, the Director-General of PCTE, shared, "The 'Run for Cause' has become a vital part of our academic calendar. It’s more than just a race;  it’s a race with purpose. This initiative highlights our dedication to fostering social responsibility among our students. This year, our emphasis was on promoting a cleaner environment. We believe that through such events, we not only encourage physical fitness but also contribute to meaningful causes that make a positive impact on our community.
