PCTE Hotel Management students bag 6 Gold Medals

Ludhiana, December 30, 2021: The students of Hotel Management and Catering Technology bag 6 gold medals in the recently declared Merit List by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The merit list has been declared after 2016 and since then PCTE Hotel Management students have bagged gold medals in all the years.

Jatinder Kaur Grewal of BHMCT Batch 2012-2016, Abhimanyu Mehndirata of BHMCT Batch 2013- 2017, Purnima Varma of BHMCT Batch 2014-2018, Tanisha Gupta of BHMCT Batch 2015- 2019, Priyanka of BHMCT Batch 2016-2020 and Himanshu Dhiman of BHMCT Batch 2017- 2021 got gold medals for holding the First position with 85.44%, 86.3%, 87.26%, 9.6 CGPA, 9.02 CGPA and 9.31 CGPA.

Tanika Singh of BHMCT Batch 2015- 2019 & Ajay Kumar of BHMCT Batch 2017-2021 got Silver Medal with 9.36 & 9.23 CGPA.  Puja Kumari of BHMCT Batch 2013- 2017, Shivangi ¬ of BHMCT Batch 2015- 2019 & Simran Arora of BHMCT Batch 2017-2021 got Bronze Medal with 85.44%, 9.24 & 9.1 CGPA.

Overjoyed Tanisha said that “Getting a gold medal is a big thing. It is a proud moment and the happiness after hearing this news could not be explained in words. She added by saying that she had worked really hard for it and seeing her father's name in that list in front of her name brought tears in her eyes. At the end she thanked the management of PCTE and teachers along with her family for their constant support.

Himashu Dhiman shared his feelings and said that he considers himself fortunate and said that he is very grateful of his parents and teachers who have guided him in his life specially to Ms. Jaspreet kaur Asstt. Prof. and all other teachers for supporting & encouraging him. He ended by saying that Hard work always pays off so just stay positive, dedicated and persistent.

Mr. Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE-IHM said that all the gold medallists along with the other position holders had put in a lot of effort and had always stood ahead in studies and practical work which ultimately helped them to secure university positions and a fine career.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the students and said that “The Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
