PCTE launches Festaweek 2024 with powerful nukkad natak performances addressing social issues
PCTE Group of Institutes kicked off Festaweek 2024 with vibrant Nukkad Natak performances, shedding light on various social issues. Sponsored by "Cello Tape," the event was held at Rose Garden and featured street plays that captivated the audience and initiated crucial conversations.
Ludhiana, October 5, 2024: PCTE Group of Institutes kicked off Festaweek 2024 with vibrant Nukkad Natak performances, shedding light on various social issues. Sponsored by "Cello Tape," the event was held at Rose Garden and featured street plays that captivated the audience and initiated crucial conversations.
Senior students performed thought-provoking acts on topics such as old age, LGBTQ+ rights, harassment, cybercrime, conspiracy theories, and the impacts of Kalyug. These performances, beyond being artistic expressions, engaged the audience in meaningful dialogue on these critical subjects.
Six teams participated in the Nukkad Natak competition, each presenting a compelling narrative. The acts were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges, Mr. Brij Mohan and Mr. Balwinder, who assessed the performances on message strength, creativity, and time adherence. The competition results will be announced on October 11th, 2024.
Dr. Swapan Chanana, Director of Student Welfare, praised the students efforts in bringing attention to significant societal challenges through their performances. He noted that despite being a small-scale event, the plays delivered powerful messages that urged society to address these pressing issues.
Dr. KNS Kang, Director-General of PCTE, also commended the students for their creativity and dedication, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to providing platforms for students to showcase talent and address relevant social topics.
With a week ahead packed with diverse talents and perspectives, Festaweek 2024 promises a dynamic blend of creativity, awareness, and excitement.
