PCTE students excelled at annual technical and startup fest organised by IIT Ropar
16 PCTEians participated in 4 different entrepreneurial events
Ludhiana: PCTE Group of Institutes takes great pride as the students of MBA General, MBA-IB and BBA final year students showcased excellent competitive and entrepreneurial skills in the intercollege Annual Science and Technology Festival organised by IIT Ropar.
16 PCTEians participated in 4 different entrepreneurial events. In the Boots Camp, 12 teams participated from different colleges, 8 teams got selected for the next round of Investor Pitching, out of which four were from PCTE. The Investors commented that PCTE students were wonderful and pitched incredible ideas with commendable marketing skills. They also assured that they would be investing in these start-ups in due course of time. They further added by saying that the idea of Nappads- the organic sanitary napkin is the need of the hour and was highly appreciated by them. Besides this, Biz Buster & Brain Wave, the students won the 1st Prize. In News up the students were awarded the 3rd Prize, and the events had witnessed around 18 teams from various NIT’s, IIT’s & renowned Engineering colleges of Northern region that participated in each event.
The students said that they were fortunate enough to witness great exposure where they got to compete with best colleges and further said that by participating in events like these helps them to bring the best out of them, and added that the true credit goes to our faculty members who are our mentors and source of inspiration.
Prof. Naresh Sachdeva, Dean, Corporate Relations stated that such events help the students to think out of the box, that not only help them academically but also motivate them to opt entrepreneurship as their career.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, said that, “I am immensely proud of the efforts made by the students. The hard work put in by the students have resulted in such a magnificent result. He further added that We at PCTE do believe that extracurricular activities can infuse a fresh lease of enthusiasm and motivation in students and encourage students to participate in more of such events.
