PCTE students get shortlisted in “Agri India Hackathon 2021”
This is a nation-level hackathon
Ludhiana: PCTE students inbox outshine by getting themselves shortlisted in the "Agri India Hackathon 2021". Out of 6000, only 300 got shortlisted and the Nap-Pad team is one of them.
This is a nation-level hackathon where innovators, students, startups, and others would be competing against each other at different stages. Each winner will receive a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 along with preference in incubation & funding by our agribusiness incubators called RABIs.
Ms. Aditi, one of the team members of Nap-Pads said that the product they presented is sanitary napkins that are made out of Banana fiber. Daman Preet Kaur and Kunal Grover are equally putting efforts into making it a big success. These pads will make the menstruation hassle-free as it is not made out of plastic. The aim is to reduce the cost spent every month by a woman and make it eco friendly.
Prof. Naresh Sachdev, Dean (Corporate Relations), PCTE Group of Institutes, said that the hackathon will take the students through ideation to pitch development and they will get the opportunity to enhance themselves as they would be competing with other creative students from the nation.
He further added by saying that the selected students are a part of the PCTE incubator and the students have been guided constantly by the faculty members, the idea generation workshops were conducted & the startup was selected by the panel representing various industrialists.
Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the students and said that these competitions widen the thought process of the youngsters and prepare them to think out of the box, this eventually helps to outshine from rest of the world.
