PCTE Students of Travel and Tourism bag Gold Medal
Eight students of Travel and Tourism Program bag positions in the recently declared Merit List by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University
Ludhiana, January 6, 2022: Eight students of Travel and Tourism Program bag positions in the recently declared Merit List by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The merit list has been declared after 2016 and since then the students have bagged university positions for 5 consecutive years.
Ali Nahil of B.Sc. (ATHM) Batch 2015-18 got gold medal for holding the first position with 8.93%. Tumuhimbise Paul of B.Sc. (ATHM) Batch 2013-16 bagged a silver medal for holding second position with 84.41%. Sangay Choden& Rachel MushayI of batch 2017-20 & 2104-17 bagged 5 & 6 position with 8.67 & 81.85%.
Ogidi Stanley, ChimiDema and Sabitra Sharma bagged the of batch 2014-17, 2016-19 & 2017-20 bagged 8th Position with 79.38%, 8.5 & 8.53 CGPA. Lastly, ManpreetKaur of batch 2016-19 bagged 9th Position with 8.47 CGPA.
Ali Nahil from Maldives who bagged a gold medal was overjoyed after the declaration and said that “Getting a gold medal is a big thing. It is a proud moment and the happiness after hearing this news could not be explained in words. He added by saying that he had worked really hard for it and thanked the faculty members for their constant support.
Mr. Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE-IHM said that all the position holders had put in a lot of effort and had always stood ahead in studies, practical work and extracurricular activities which ultimately helped them to secure university positions and a rewarding career.
Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the students and said that “The Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
