PCTEians shine bright in a display of speed and strength at the Annual Athletics Meet 2024

Ludhiana, February 23, 2024: PCTE Group of Institutes proudly announces the the triumphant conclusion of its highly anticipated Annual Athletics Meet 2024. This electrifying event brought together students and faculty from diverse departments and courses for a day filled with exhilarating sports competitions, showcasing the indomitable spirit of PCTEians.

The festivities commenced with a captivating March Past, a visual symphony of colors and unity. Each department, adorned in unique uniforms, paraded proudly, waving flags representing their classes. The Oath Taking Ceremony emphasized the values of fair play and healthy competition that resonated throughout the event. Adding to the grandeur, Saurabh Dubey, Commandant 26th ITBP Ludhiana, graced the occasion as the esteemed chief guest, elevating the event's prestige.

Transforming the campus into a vibrant carnival, stalls offered delectable food, engaging games, and a variety of merchandise. Departments showcased their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit through diverse offerings, enhancing the overall experience for all attendees.

The track events unfolded as a spectacular showcase of athleticism, featuring thrilling races such as the 800 meters for boys and the 4X400 meters relay, displaying remarkable speed and determination. Additionally, the 400 meters race and the 4X100 meters relay for girls captivated the audience with displays of grit and agility. The Shot-Put and Long Jump finals highlighted the boys' strength and agility, while the girls demonstrated remarkable jumping skills and precision.

Musab, an international student of Medical Lab Sciences, shared his excitement, stating, "I have always been passionate about running, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent myself. The adrenaline rush I experienced was amazing. It was a great competition overall." Another overseas student, Thomas, studying Pharmacy, added, "Participating in the relay race was an exhilarating experience. We had a strategy where the first and last runners were the fastest, and it paid off."

The event culminated with the eagerly awaited Faculty Race, where PCTE's dedicated teachers showcased their athletic prowess, delighting the students.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was a moment of jubilation and recognition as deserving athletes were honored for their outstanding performances and contributions to the success of the Annual Athletic Meet 2024. B.Tech CSE 2022 from the Junior Wing and B.Tech CSE 2021 from the Senior Wing emerged victorious. Additionally, Samuel Ladu from Medical Lab Sciences was honored as the best athlete male in the Junior Wing, while Ayul Ayoung Bol Deng from B.Pharmacy was declared the best athlete male in the Junior Wing. Sukhbir Singh from BCA 2021B was awarded the best athlete male in the Senior Wing, and Stella Sasuke from Medical Lab Sciences was recognized as the best athlete female in the Senior Wing.
