People of Punjab pins high hopes from PM 
People of Punjab are in high spirit and high hopes with the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th August 2022 at Mohali. They are expecting that the financial package for the infrastructural development of Punjab which was not announced during his January 2022 visit due to the cancellation of his public rally in Ferozepur and then onwards implementation of election code of conduct. The people of Punjab are hopeful that Modi can announce financial package for the all- around development and growth of Punjab. Punjab is a border state and has faced the heat of partition and militancy due to the evil designs of the neighboring country to destabilize the unity and integrity in eighties but the sense of brotherhood among the masses failed the same. 

Punjabis known for their hard work 
Punjabis throughout the world are known for their hard work. In various countries Punjabis with their day and night hard labour, talent and sincere efforts are now economically strong in abroad. Punjabis have boosted the economy of the country where they are residing with their hard labour. The need of time in Punjab is to boost employment so that all the unemployed youths can secure job for their livelihood in Punjab and shun the ultimate desire to go abroad. At present, in the present scenario brain drain from Punjab cannot be ruled out and if more job opportunities are created with influx of heavy industries, certainly the youths from Punjab will certainly try to work in their native state Punjab rather than going abroad.

Punjab farmers and agriculture 

Punjab is known for agriculture. By following of new strategies, new ideas, new techniques Punjab farmers have succeeded towards reaching new heights of bumper crops in the state. Thus, Punjab farmers are certainly paving way towards boosting economy and food for every Indian and even successfully yield three crops in one year.

BJP Punjab: New vs Old 
Punjab senior BJP leaders are in dilemma over the present status of new entrants from other political parties in the party fold. These senior leaders from other political parties are waiting for their proper adjustments whereas the party’s own senior leaders are worried about their future. Will senior BJP leaders raise their voice within the party platform for their survival or they will be sidelined by adjusting and accommodating the new entrants? This is the question arising in the minds of everybody.  All those BJP leaders who have stood with the party during the days of militancy are feeling isolated or sidelined and are worried about their future for their long and sincere services towards the party. At the same time, BJP leaders in Punjab are keeping all the options and equations open for the forthcoming municipal corporations and municipal committee elections. Time will reveal all these options and equations in the future.

Security of senior BJP leaders 
BJP senior leader and former minister Punjab Tikshan Sud’s security has been beefed up. It is the need of time that the security of other senior party leaders and former minister including Master Mohan Lal, Prof Laxmi Kanta Chawla, Dr Baldev Chawla, Manoranjan Kalia and Surjit Jyani be reviewed and enhanced. The senior leaders of BJP should be allocated two more additional gunmen apart from earlier security cover allocated to them. 
 

Congress leaders on toes 
With the formation of AAP government in Punjab, Congress leaders at present are struggling to keep their past glory and status intact among the masses. Nothing can be predicted in politics but one thing is clear that the people of Punjab will certainly witness very interesting Municipal Corporations and Municipal Committees election results. The reason “yeh jo public hai sab janti hai …”

What signals Lalpura’s appointment? 
BJP has appointed Iqbal Singh Lalpura as member of the party’s parliamentary board. Lalpura hails from Punjab. Earlier, he was appointed Chairman of Minority Commission with Cabinet rank. With the new appointment, it is clear that the party high command is really serious on reviving the party in Punjab in coming days.
