PERSONS COMING FROM OTHER STATES TO GO UNDER 28 DAYS HOME QUARANTINE: KANGRA DC
SUCH PEOPLE SHOULD NOT STEP OUT OF THEIR HOMES OR PLACE OF STAY
Dharamshala: “All people coming from other states to Kangra district on travel permit would have to compulsorily go under home quarantine for 28 days. Surveillance would be kept over all such persons by different agencies. Such people should not step out of their homes or place of stay unnecessarily even on curfew pass and strictly observe lockdown. They are advised to live in a separate room inside their house and not to peril safety of their family members”, said Kangra Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati. Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that health check-ups of people coming from outside are being done at all the entrance points of the district and directions are being given to them to stay safe in the house for 28 days. He added that Monitoring committees have also been formed in every panchayat and urban ward. Such persons are also under observation of flying squad framed under each sub-division. Location of mobile number of each individual is also being eyed upon. Violators would be kept under administrative quarantine in place of home, if they fail to abide by the norms. FIR would be lodged against contraveners and might get two years imprisonment. A constant vigil is being kept over persons advised home quarantine by personnel of health and revenue departments.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati here on Tuesday that to ease difficulties of people, helpline numbers were being released from time to time. people should adhere by all the guidelines issued by health authorities and immediately intimate administrative authorities about persons coming to their family or neighborhood so that infection could be contained. Tghousands of residents of the district who were stuck in other states due to lockdown are coming back since yesterday after thyeir entry was allowed by the government.
“The report of 32 samples of corona in Kangra district has come negative today”, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati and Superintendent of Police Vimukt Ranjan also inspected the barriers in the border areas and necessary guidelines were also given to health department doctors and police personnel posted on duty. Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that proper compliance of social distance is being ensured at the points and health department doctors are also working diligently for health check-up of citizens.
Vishal Nehria, local MLA has urged people to step out of their houses only if it is very essential and play safe by staying inside. Outside exposure can lead to infection and endanger their own and family’s safety. Nehria asked people not to believe and spread rumours but take all precautionary measures as advised by health experts and suggested by authorities
