PG Department of Computer Science & IT Department organised a Seminar on “Future Opportunities with Skill Strategies in IT”
The Department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College organized an insightful seminar on “Future Opportunities with Skill Strategies in IT” aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the rapidly evolving global IT landscape. More than 100 students participated in the seminar.

Jalandhar, March 26, 2025: The Department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College organized an insightful seminar on “Future Opportunities with Skill Strategies in IT” aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the rapidly evolving global IT landscape. More than 100 students participated in the seminar.
The session was conducted by Rohan Lakhne, Head of Academics at AECC, renowned test prep and education abroad specialist with over a decade of experience in mentoring students for international aptitude exams like GRE, GMAT, and SAT. Welcoming the esteemed speaker, Dr. Suman Chopra, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, expressed her gratitude to Dr. Kumar for guiding the students of the college. Dr. Chopra also commended the efforts of the PG Department of Computer Science and IT for organizing such an impactful seminar and emphasized the role of the college in providing students with avenues to enhance their knowledge and skills for a successful future in IT.
Lakhne emphasized the growing demand for IT professionals in global markets and the need for students to adopt a strategic approach toward skill development. He highlighted how aptitude, analytical reasoning, and communication skills play a crucial role in securing opportunities in top international universities and leading IT companies. He introduced students to ground-breaking techniques for tackling complex aptitude test questions, which are essential for admissions to top global institutions. He highlighted India’s increasing prominence in AI, cloud computing, cyber security, and software development, making it a lucrative destination for professionals with international training and expertise. One of the key takeaways from the session was the importance of studying abroad and leveraging global exposure to enhance career prospects. He explained how students can pursue international education in countries like the USA, Canada, and Australia and then return to India to contribute to the growing IT sector.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with Lakhne, seeking guidance on study-abroad opportunities, scholarship programs, international job prospects, and skill development for IT careers. His insights provided students with a clear roadmap to enhance their technical, analytical, and communication skills for global success.
Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department of Computer Science & IT, spoke about the importance of acquiring a global perspective in IT education. He encouraged students to adapt to international trends and develop skills that align with global job market expectations.
