Phoenix Marketcity hosts ‘Grammiya Kalaivizha’ in collaboration with NGO Raindropss Foundation
Energetic folk performances and activities in the midst of Goodwill ambassador A.R.Raihanah for students of shelter homes and communities.
Chennai, January 9, 2023: Giving a strong boost to promote and uplift the folk culture of Tamil Nadu, Phoenix Marketcity hosted Grammiya Kalaivizha, an annual fest by Ranidropps Charity Foundation comprising of a series of folk activities for students from shelter homes and communities. Legendary music composer and Oscar winner, A.R Rahman’ sister A.R.Raihana who is the foundation’s Goodwill Ambassador cheered the artists with her motivating words. Notable playback singers and folk artists Kedakuzhi Mariammal, Antony Dasan, Maghizhini Manimaram, Mahalingam, Mathichiyam Bala and others were also present for this annual communal Pongal fest. More than 250 kids and elders from various shelter homes and communities participated with an interesting line-up of folk activities like Kili Joshiam, Kai Raegai, Javvu Mittai, Pot-making, Karagattam, Oyilattam, Poikaal Kudhirai , Rattinam and other live Pongal performances.
