PK Markanday appointed as MD Trident Corporation Limited

Ludhiana, February 11, 2013:  Trident Corporation Limited, a part of USD 1 billion Trident Group appointed PK Markanday as the Managing Director, Trident Corporation Limited. 

P.K. Markanday has been partnering Trident Group in its zest to growth and progress since long with rich experience of over 30 years in the International Home Textiles market. Under his leadership, Trident Limited has been able to emerge among the top terry towel manufactures in the world and has won frequent accolades in recognition for delivering high quality standards and customer centric approach. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of experience across all the business functions like supply chain, projects, operations, sales and marketing and strategy in addition to international exposure.

Trident Group, under its expansion model is setting upan integrated textile complex at Budni, Madhya Pradesh. Employing a total investment of about Rs. 2,400 crores, the project is at top gear in its implementation phase, growing progressively. “The facilities will be catering to the manufacturing of terry towels, sheeting, and captive power plant with a production capacity of 30 milion pieces of towels/month, 3.6 million meters of sheeting/month and 60 MW captive power respectively. Post the facility’s commissioning, it will be one of the largest Integrated Home Textile manufacturing facilities in the world, and it gives me great pride to hold the reins of this project in its pathway to development” added Markanday,Managing Director, Trident Corporation Limited.

Having pursued Master of Business Administration, he also is a distinguished figure in the Home Textiles Market. His in depth knowledge of textile industry coupled with his fine marketing skills has earned him a unique and enviable position in the textile arena globally. He has also been conferred with 'Manager of the Year Award' by Ludhiana Management Association for the Year 2007.
