Plant Adoption Drive marks ‘World Environment Day’ at BH-3, Panjab University
The residents and staff of Boys Hostel No. 3, Panjab University, Chandigarh today, celebrated ‘World Environment Day’ by adoptingplants at different blocks of the hostel.
Chandigarh, Jun 5, 2024: The residents and staff of Boys Hostel No. 3, Panjab University, Chandigarh today, celebrated ‘World Environment Day’ by adoptingplants at different blocks of the hostel.
Prof. Amit Chauhan, Dean Students Welfare, Panjab University launched the plant adoption drive. He addressed the residents and staff with a message that we all must live sustainably in harmony with nature and shall contribute to the same by adopting the plants.
Dr.Sucha Singh, Warden, Boys Hostel No. 3 (S.S. Bhatnagar Hall) stressed on the protection of the environment and encouraged the residents and staff to adopt at least one plant during their stay in the hostel. Residents also pledged to nurture and take care of their adopted plants.
Among those who were present during the plant adoption drive included Wardens, Dr. Harbhinder Singh, Dr. Indu Sharma, Dr. Jodh Singh, Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Dr. Varinder Kaur, Dr. Nishima and horticulture (engineer), Amandeep.
