Plant Trees and Save Trees Campaign Launched in Doaba College

Jalandhar, June 8, 2024: NSS and Eco Club of Doaba College, Jalandhar jointly celebrated World Environment Day on theme Plant Trees and Save Trees Campaign. 

The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari by planting a Chakrasia tree. He was joined by NSS Coordinator Prof. Arshdeep Singh, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Shivika and Dr. Rakesh Kumar. 

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari highlighted the importance of protecting environment and encouraged all the students to actively work for the protection of Mother Earth. He said Protection of environment can be done by our collective efforts. He also stressed the need to save water and electricity at our homes too so that wastage of natural resources can be minimized. 

Nearly 20 plants of different varieties like Chakrasia, Baheda, Neem, Alstonia and Moringa were planted in the college campus.
