Players of Khalsa College, Sudhar shine in `Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’
The sportsmen of Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana have made great achievements in the district level competitions of 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan' organized by the Punjab Government by demonstrating their excellent sportsmanship.
Ludhiana, September 20, 2022: The sportsmen of Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana have made great achievements in the district level competitions of 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan' organized by the Punjab Government by demonstrating their excellent sportsmanship.
The first and second place in the 100 meter race of the under-one-year category was won by the players of Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar. Gurkamal Singh Roy finished the race in 10:67 seconds and Karanjot Singh in 10:97 seconds to get Gold and Silver medals respectively. Gurkamal Singh Roy also won gold medal in 200 meters. Similarly, Inderpreet Singh won gold medal in 400m and 400m relay and silver medal in 200m. In addition to this, the college hockey team stood third in these games. Six players from Khalsa College Hockey Team; Manjot Singh, Harman Sandhu, Yudhveer Mall, Prince, Jashanpreet and Rohit Sandhu were selected for the State level competitions.
On these wonderful achievements of the players, the President of the College Governing Council Manjit Singh Gill, Secretary Dr. S. S. Thind and College Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh congratulated the players.
On this occasion, along with the players, the head of sports department Dr. Baljinder Singh, Hockey Coach Sr. Malkit Singh Gill, Prof. Inderjit Singh, Prof. Arun Kumar, Prof. Vinod, Prof. Amandeep Singh, Prof. Sukhjinder Bajwa and others were also present.
