PM’s silence over serious allegations on MJ Akbar intriguing: Istri Sabha

Ludhiana, October 12, 2018: Condemning the silence of Prime Minister and even women ministers of his government and avoiding questions on this issue raises skepticism and reflects the mind set of RSS patronized BJP government led by Narendra Modi. This was said by several speakers while addressing a rally organized by the Punjab Istri Sabhja and All India Working Women Forum (AITUC) Ludhiana today at Mini secretariat Ludhiana. This is not the first time the speakers said, Modi had maintained complete silence over the rape and murder of minor girl in Kathua and later in shelter homes. His slogan of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ has become another “Jumla”. Speaking on the occasion, Jit Kumari, Avtar Kaur advocate and Kulwant Kaur said that M J Akbar must resign immediately and the Prime Minister should remove him from the cabinet. There should be strict enforcement of laws for protection and safe guard of women at work places.
