PM arriving in Dharamsala tomorrow for 2-day official trip
Dharamsala has been decorated for the Prime Minister's visit and this Smart City is ready to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dharamsala, June 15, 2022: Former Himachal Chief Minister Shanta Kumar has said that it is a matter of great honour for Himachal that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing a lot of affection and cooperation to Himachal. He said that on the completion of the glorious 8 years of the Prime Minister's era, Modi visited Shimla for a wonderful program and now the history is being created here for the first time, as a conference of chief secretaries of all the states of the country is being held in Dharamsala on June 16-17.
“It is a big moment for Kangra district, that the Prime Minister is creating a new history by visiting Himachal for the second time within 15 days. It is a matter of good fortune for Himachal that the PM will also accept public greetings through a road show on June 16”, said Shanta.
Shanta Kumar said that Narendra Modi is not only the Prime Minister of India but he is also the most popular and successful global leader in the world today. It is a matter of great privilege for all of us that the PM himself is paying special attention to the state of Himachal Pradesh. Shanta Kumar has made a special request to the people of Himachal that in the coming elections, once again they should cooperate with PM Narendra Modi by forming the government of Bharatiya Janata Party in Himachal.
Dharamsala has been decorated for the Prime Minister's visit and this Smart City is ready to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM will arrive at a specially created Helipad at Police Stadium Dharamsala at around mid- day on 16 June where Governor of HP, CM of HP and Central minister Anurag Thakur along with other dignitaries will welcome the PM.
From the helipad to the conference site of the Chief Secretary of India in the HPCA Stadium a road show shall be organised for about 1-Km. It is learnt that Modi will participate in the conference of chief secretaries and will remain there till late at night on Thursday. The PM shall stay for one night in Dharamsala. On January 17, the Prime Minister will once again participate in this conference and will leave for Delhi from Dharamsala in the evening on same day.
In view of the Prime Minister's stay in Dharamsala, Speaker of HP Assembly Vipin Parmar has directed the concerned officials to ensure that there should be no lapse at any stage during the program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival on June 16 and during the 2-day meet of the Chief Secretaries of the country. Parmar said in a meeting today at Dharamsala that everyone needs to work very hard for the successful organization of this important national level program.
Lok Sabha MP Krishna Kapoor, MLA Vishal Nehria, BJP officials and officials of various departments were present on the occasion. CM Jai Ram Thakur is arriving in Dharamsala today.
