PM left for Delhi after two days stay at Dharamsala
After presiding over the two days sessions of the national conference of chief secretaries, the Prime Minister departed for Delhi on Saturday evening.
Dharamsala, June 17, 2022: After presiding over the two days sessions of the national conference of chief secretaries, the Prime Minister departed for Delhi on Saturday evening.
As Dharamsala had a heavy shower of torrential rain during midday on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s return journey was rescheduled and his departure was shifted from Dharamsala SAI ground to Gaggal airport.
Half an hour before PM Modi left for Gaggal from Dharamsala, the Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur reached the airport to see him off.
Due to this sudden change in programme the traffic was halted for some time on Pathankot-Mandi National Highway near Rajol on one side and at Matour on the other side. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Delhi from Gaggal airport by helicopter.
PM Narendra Modi arrived in Dharamsala on Thursday to participate in the All India Chief Secretary’s conference and conduct a road show immediately on his arrival before chairing the conference. The PM stayed in Dharamsala for a night.
In the national conference of chief secretaries, the Prime Minister lauded the success of the Aspirational Districts Programme and said that the government should strive to make the ‘Inspirational Districts’ of India and extend the programme to the block and city levels.
The Prime Minister stressed that India’s best, young officers should be posted to the Aspirational Districts to bring about noticeable changes through their creative thinking and fresh ideas. The experience and learnings gained by them while working in these districts would be unparalleled and prove useful for the entire country, he said.
