PM S.D. College for Women holds Investiture Ceremony

Jalandhar, September 16, 2024: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, held its Investiture Ceremony to appoint new office bearers for the academic session 2024-25. Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar, graced the occasion by pinning badges on the newly appointed office bearers, symbolizing the beginning of their leadership roles. The ceremony was an inspiring event, reflecting the college’s commitment to nurturing future leaders.

In the Central Association, Pooja (MBEIT Semester III) was appointed as the Head Girl (P.G.), while Khushi Sharma (M.Com. Semester I) took on the role of Vice Head Girl (P.G.). Representing the undergraduate section, Silvi (B.Com. F.S. Semester V) and Shital (B.Sc. F.D. Semester V) were appointed as Head Girl (U.G.) and Vice Head Girl (U.G.), respectively. Vaishnawi (B.Com. Hons. Semester V) took on the role of Secretary, with Pallavi (B.Sc. F.D. Semester I) as Joint Secretary, and Sakshi (MBEIT Semester III) and Pallavi Thakur (B.A. Semeater V) as Treasurer. The Discipline Team was headed by Damini (B.Com. Semester V), with Chahat (B.Com. Hons. Semester V) and Supreet (B.Sc. Eco Semester V) as coordinators.

Komal (B.Com. F.S. Semester V) was named Maintenance Head, supported by coordinators Neha (B.Com. Hons. Semester V) and Sanjana (B.Com. Hons. Semester V). The Event Team was led by Deepu Rana (B.A.-B.Ed. Semester VII) as Event Head, and Yukta Bisht (B.A.-B.Ed. Semester VII) as Event Coordinator. In the IT Block, Vineet (M.Sc. C.S. Semester III) took on the role of Head Girl, with Dolcy Chibber (BCA Semester V) as Vice Head Girl. Gouri (BCA Semester III) and Bhumi (BCA Semester III) were assigned the roles of Discipline and Cleanliness In-charge, respectively.

In the Youth Club, Jasleen (P.G. Diploma in Fashion Designing) was appointed President, with Dipanshi (B.Com. F.S. Semester V) as Vice President. Simran (B.Com. Semester III) was appointed Secretary, and Harnoor (B.A. Semester I) became the Joint Secretary. Neha (B.Com. Hons. Semester III) took on the role of Treasurer. Club members, including Pooja (B.A.-B.Ed. Semester V), Mousami (B.Com. Semester III), Kavya (B.A. Semester I), Naziya (B.A. Semester I), Romal Yadav (B.A.-B.Ed. Semester I), Vandana (B.Sc. Eco Semester I), and Rupinder Kaur (B.Sc. F.D. Semester I), pledged to actively contribute to the club's activities and initiatives throughout the year.

President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee, and the Principal congratulated the students on their new roles and encouraged them to perform their duties with dedication and excellence.
