PMO takes notice of representation sent by Dr Thaman
Ludhiana (West) Sub Division Grievances Redressal Committee Member Dr Satish Kumar Thaman.

Ludhiana, August 17, 2021:  PMO has taken notice of a representation sent by Ludhiana (West) Sub Division Grievances Redressal Committee Member Dr Satish Kumar Thaman with regard to urgent need to start operation of CGHS Dispensary in Ludhiana for central government employees/ staff by way of constitution of coordination committee of central government department and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and for CGHS approved indoor/ outdoor hospitals and reputed hospitals-regarding (designed as wellness centre independently under permanent CGHS – indoor-outdoor hospital at mega city of Ludhiana).
In this connection, Dr Thaman has received a communication from Anant Kumar, Section Officer, Prime Minister's Office. Dr Thaman's representation has been forwarded to Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare with the following remarks: "A letter/gist of oral representation dated 08/07/2021 received in this office from Dr Satish Kumar Thaman is forwarded herewith for action as appropriate. Reply may be sent to the Petitioner and a copy of the same may be uploaded on the portal."
It may be mentioned that Dr Thaman had also apprised the PMO Office that as per Memo No DMCH/MS/2021/151 dt 15.7.2021 of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Tagore Nagar, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, the circular no of dated 15.7.2021, the institution agreed with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India for Treatment of Central Govt Employees and Members of the families under CS (MA) Rule 1944 and the Office Memorandum issued by Deputy Secretary to the Govt of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan New Delhi under Memo No S.14021/9/2020-EHS dt 7.4.2021 is only an eyewash and formality. 
He had pointed out that the employees/retirees are not satisfied with this kind of empanelment with the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana which was issued on 15.7.2021.
Dr Thaman had also pointed out that there is a need for opening of independent and separately permanent CGHS Wellness Centre in Mega city of Ludhiana. He had stated that the employees and retirees of all central government departments / staff and BSNL employees and retirees must be given proper facility through CGHS Dispensary / Indoor & Outdoor Hospital.
