PNB observes Vigilance Awareness Week
Ludhiana, October 26, 2021: Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 26th October to 1st November 2021 in PNB with the theme “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity”.
On first day of Vigilance Awareness Week, today staff of PNB’s Zonal Office, Ludhiana took Integrity pledge in the presence of Sumanta Mohanty, Zonal Manager, Ajay Varmani, Dy. Zonal Manager, Daljit Singh and Jagjit Singh, Dy. General Managers and other staff. All the 8 Circles and 542 branches / Offices of the Zone were instructed to take Integrity Pledge on the same time today i.e. at 11.00 a.m.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumanta Mohanty, ZM Ludhiana said that Development and progress of the nation takes place when individuals and organizations are vigilant in safeguarding integrity as a core value. He further informed that during the week, various activities are planned to perform like taking E-Integrity Pledge by Staff and Public, Customer Grievance Redressal Camps, Awareness Gram Sabhas, Donation of E-rickshaw to the physically handicapped person, Health Check-up Camp and a walkathon maintaining social distancing is being organized in which staff from Zonal Office / Circle Offices / branches will participate.
The Vigilance Awareness Week is a good initiative by the Central Vigilance Commission as it helps in promoting the importance of transparency, accountability, fairness and probity in smooth functioning of public organizations. The events being organized during the Vigilance Awareness Week will definitely help in creating awareness among people about the ill effects of corruption and contribute towards the development of conscious society.
