Police arrest migrant labourer who abducted two minor girls within 4 hours


Dharamshala, May 27, 2018: Kangra police with the help of Una police have arrested a migrant labourer who allegedly abducted two minor girls today from railway station at Una.
Santosh Patial, SSP at Dharamshala said, “In a swift and prompt action, we (Una and Kangra Police) have apprehended, a migrant labourer Ram Tirth, a resident of Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh) who had kidnapped two minor girls from the jurisdiction of Police Station Dehra in Kangra District today around 11.30 AM. This migrant labourer allured these children to visit Chintpurni temple and then took them to Una.”
Patial further added that as soon as the matter was reported to him (around 3.30 PM) they rushed to various places where the probability of finding these persons was high. “We also requested Devakar Sharma, S.P., Una who pressed his men into action. And, within four hours, the accused was apprehended at railways station at Una.”
He said that the Una and Kangra Police teams deserve kudos, and a special word of thanks to S.P., Una and his team, for acting and cooperating immediately.
