POLICE arrests ISI Agent passing on secret information to Pak

Ferozepur/Fazilka, March 22, 2013:The Jalalabad police claimed to have arrested on ISI Agent  who was passing on the secret information to Pakistan for the last one and a half year.

Giving this information to the media persons, Sukhdev Singh Kahlon, SSP, Fazilka said, “Tarsem Kumar, a citizen of India was passing on the secret information to the Pakistan since 2009 while sitting at Jalalabad”.

He further said, during 2009, Tarsem Kumar had gone to Pakistan on a pilgrim where he came into contact with ISI Agent and after that he became greedy and started passing on the secret information to Pakistan on returning back to India. During the further investigation, he admitted that in 2009, he has gone to Pakistan two times and in between he was in contact with the agents in Pakistan.

SSP said, the Jalalabad police got the secret information about his contacts and started keeping any eye on him.  A close monitoring of his activities was scrutinisedand now when he had come to his home, Tarsem Singh was arrested at red light, while he was going towards Dashmesh Nagar.  He made number of excuses to be innocent and also tried to flee away from the place but the police managed to arrest him.

SSP further informed that after arresting Tarsem Singh, on searching his house, one Pakistani SIM was also recovered from him besides taking into possession the secret documents.  A case under sections of 3, 4 5 Official Secret Act and 120B has been registered against Tarsem Singh and all this operation was carried out Jagdish Singh and his team. 

More clues are expected to come on surface during further investigation and more persons could be arrested, who are having contact with him and disloyal to the country.
