Police to remove curtains and films from vehicles

Jalandhar, February 9, 2013: The Additional Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Traffic, Jalandhar Sukhdev Singh, said in order to provide security to the residents of city as well as commuters of the buses, it has been decided to immediately continuing the efforts to launch an operation to remove curtains and black films from the windowpanes of the vehicles.

He said it was also decided that the vehicles (belonging to other states, crossing the city area police limits), if violating the directions would also be challaned.

He said the police had challaned a total of 10,000 violators for using black films during the last year.
