Poly Wing SBS STC students won Laurels at PTIS State Level inter Polytechnic Colleges Athletics Meet

Ferozepur, March 31, 2016: Diploma students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur have performed magnificently in the recently concluded State Level inter Polytechnic Colleges Athletics Meet organized under PTIS (Punjab Technical Institute Sports) held at Rayat Institute of Engg & Tech, Railmajra, Ropar.

Girls of this Polytechnic Wing won 1 Silver Medals and 5 Bronze Medals, whereas Boys won 4 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal. In total Polytechnic Wing students won 12 medals, with 4 Gold Medals; 2 Silver Medals and 6 Bronze Medal.

Ms Manpreet Kaur from ECE third year won 2 Bronze Medals and 1 Silver Medal. Ms Priyanka from CSE second year and Ms Nagma from ECE second year and Maninder Kaur of Electrical Engg won the Bronze Medal in 4 x 400 Metres Relay Race. Mr Gurwinder Singh, Mr Jamshed Alam, Mr Amit Paswan of Mechanical Engg third year and Mr Mahesh Rai of Electrical Engg third year won the gold meda in 4x400 meter relay race.

Mr Krishan Kant Pandey from Mechanical third year won silver Medal in High Jump. Mr Rajesh Gope of third year Mechanical Engg won bronze medal in Shot-put.

Mr Gazal Preet Singh, Dean Sports and Principal Poly Wing conveyed special congrats to all these wining students. Dr. T. S. Sidhu, Campus Director expressed his good wishes to all the students who have brought laurels to the college. He specially congratulated Mr Rajesh Kumar Singla, Incharge Sports – Poly Wing for hard efforts and encouraging students.

Mr Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Poly Wing, said on this occasion that this is for the fourth time that students have participated in these games and assured better performance from students in coming times.
