Chandigarh, September 25, 2023: Panjab University’s Department of Community Education and Disability Studies has organised the Poster Competition on ‘International Day of Sign Language’ in the department today.
Dr.Md.Saifur Rahman, Chairperson of the Department introduced the sub themes of the event to the students of B.Ed. Spl. (Learning Disabilities) and M.A. (Community Edu. & Development).
The programme was organised by faculty members Nitin Raj and Taukir Alam. Students made multifarious posters related with themes. After competition, all posters were displayed on the walls of the department. Students explained their poster to the faculty members one by one in sign language.
Chairperson Dr. Rahman announced the First, Second and Third position in the competition and distributed certificates to all participants.
Professor (Dr.) Navleen Kaur, Professor (Dr.) Anuradha Sharma and other faculty members were also present in the event and motivated the students. The students participated enthusiastically in the event.
