Chandigarh, April 7, 2025: The NSS Unit of Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, today celebrated World Health Day with vibrant activities and enthusiastic student participation at PU South Campus, Sector-25, Chandigarh.
A large number of students participated in the Poster-Making, Quiz, and oath-taking ceremony under the guidance of Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator, and Dr. Sonia Sharma and Dr. Neelam Goel, Programme Officers. The celebration was graced by Dr. Vineet Punia, Director, Public Relations, PU, and Prof. Shankar Sehgal.
A highlight of the celebration was the Poster-Making Competition on the theme World Health Day, which showcased the creativity and awareness of students on health-related issues. Ms. Princy won the first prize, followed by Ms. Jasleen Kaur in second place, while Rounak Bhardwaj and Gurpreet Kaur shared the third prize.
A Quiz Competition was also organised, with enthusiastic responses from students. Winners included Ravi, Disha, Jasleen, Pushkar Raj Singh, Rounak Bhardwaj, Gurbaz Singh, Gurpreet Kaur, Kunal, Preeti, Tanisha, Mohit, Deepak, Amber, Gurneet, Amit, Rahul Yadav, and Pallavi.
An oath-taking ceremony was also conducted on the occasion, where students, faculty, and staff pledged to uphold the principles of good health and well-being.
The event witnessed lively student participation, reflecting strong awareness and engagement.
