Power Minister dedicates new 66-kv sub-station Pawa to consumers 

Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Monday dedicated the new 66 kV grid sub-station Pawa to the people here. This new 66 kV grid sub-station has been constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore, will help to reduce the load of existing substations and providing quality, reliable and uninterrupted power supply to all electricity consumers in Punjab.

Ludhiana, February 26, 2024: Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Monday dedicated the new 66 kV grid sub-station Pawa to the people here. This new 66 kV grid sub-station has been constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore, will help to reduce the load of existing substations and providing quality, reliable and uninterrupted power supply to all electricity consumers in Punjab. 

Accompanied by MLAs Hardeep Singh Mundian, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina and others, Harbhajan Singh ETO, after inaugurating the substation, stated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to providing quality power supply to the consumers. The government is building new substations across the state to reduce the load of existing ones. The newly established substation has 20 MVA power transformers, and additional transformers have been kept to meet future power supply demands.

ETO said that the commissioning of this grid sub-station, will give relief to the existing 66 KV sub-station Kanganwal and 220-kv sub-station Sahnewal. He said that with 11-kv new feeders starting, the length of the old running lines would decrease. The Minister said that the commissioning of this grid sub-station will greatly boost the power supply and facilitate the smooth release of industrial connections. Besides, the surrounding area will receive a good power supply of this power house.
Senior officials of PSPCL and others were also present on the occasion.
