Prajwal from CGC Landran wins bronze in Powerlifting Championship

Prajwal Mahajan pursuing Mechanical Engineering (5th Semester), from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran has bagged the bronze medal in North India Senior & Junior Men & Women Power-lifting Championship, organized at Dharamshala, organised by the Powerlifting India Federation. The championship saw the participation of 500-plus students.

Competing in the 105 kg category, Prajwal exhibited his physical prowess by lifting weights in Squats (235 kg), Bench Press (135 kg) and Dead Lifts (Maximum 275 kg), to claim the bronze. He also has a Silver Medal under his belt in the IKGPTU Inter-College Powerlifting competition organised at CGC Landran. The CGCian is training for the upcoming Chandigarh Senior State Championship followed by the National level All India University Powerlifting, scheduled to be organised in Kerala, in the Month of January.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC Landran congratulated Prajwal and wished him the very best for his forthcoming tournaments.
