Chandigarh, November 24, 2012: Prakash Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has announced to launch its awareness drive in Punjab also.

The organisation is already carrying out its pilot project in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Various awareness programmes will be conducted under this drive. The next such camp will be held at Raiwal village in Nakodar tehsil of Jalandhar district of Punjab.

The announcement was made  during a recently concluded awareness camp in Palai village of Budaun district in Western UP. A high profile team of professionals from Delhi and Chandigarh visited the village and interacted with the villagers. Two educational films were also screened in the evening.

Prominent among the visiting team included Col (Retd.) Vijay S Jamwal, Life Skills Trainer Canny Gogia, US returned Management Trainer Manish Bansal and senior press photographer Vinay Malik. The group was led by long-time journalist and founder of Prakash Foundation, Narvijay Yadav. Two girls from Ladakh were also part of this team.

Narvijay Yadav said, “Prakash Foundation has selected villages in UP, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana and Uttrakhand. Besides agricultural awareness camps, empowerment of the girls is also on our agenda. We will continue our efforts to bring some remarkable changes in the condition of the villages and farmers.” 

Prakash Foundation is empowering the farmers through information and awareness. The NGO aims at bringing a measurable change in the rural areas of the country. It is paying special attention to increase the agricultural production by motivating farmers to use new technologies and methods of farming. To achieve this objective, the organization plans to bring agricultural scientists and officials closer to the farmers.
