Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji celebrated at GGNIMT & GGNIVS

Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies (GGNIVS), Civil Lines, Ludhiana celebrated the 358th   Prakash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh ji here today.

Ludhiana, January 24, 2025: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT) and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies (GGNIVS), Civil Lines, Ludhiana celebrated the 358th   Prakash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh ji here today.

The event began with recitation of “Shri Jaap Sahib" and “Sri Japuji Sahib”. Gurbani Kirtan by students of GGNIMT created a spiritual environment. A series of shabads   in the mellow voice of Lovepreet Singh, a student of BHMCT 2nd Semester created magic and piety in the environment.

The office bearers, members of Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC), heads of the institutes, faculty members and the students prayed for the prosperity of the society.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT while addressing the gathering said that the tenth master Guru Gobind Singh Ji had many titles bestowed upon him – Sarbansdani, Badshah Darvesh, Shah-e-Shenshah . He sacrificed his whole family, be it parents and kids to protect the mankind.   He motivated the students to deeply understand the meaning of Khalsa to live a successful and fulfilling life.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT & GGNIVS inspired the students by sharing the grand accomplishments of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He motivated the students to follow the path of honesty, love and sincerity. He also urged the students to carry forward the Sikh traditions with grace and pride.

Dr. S. P Singh, President, GKEC and other distinguished members of GKEC also graced the occasion with their presence. He shared that as an educational institution, we should take this moment to reaffirm our dedication to uphold and promote these timeless values. Inspired by Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s legacy, we should strive to foster a culture of learning, leadership, and service, he added. Together, let us work toward building a society rooted in fairness, respect, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge, said Harsharan Singh Narula, general secretary of the college.
