President of India graces 52nd Convocation of Punjab Engineering College

Chandigarh, October 9, 2022, 2022: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, graced the 52nd convocation and closing ceremony of centenary year celebrations of Punjab Engineering College (PEC) in Chandigarh today.
Banwari Lal Purohit Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh along with Bandaru Dattatraya Governor of Haryana and Dharam Pal (IAS) Advisor to Administrator UT Chandigarh were also present on this occasion.
Rajinder Gupta Chairman Board of Governors Punjab Engineering College welcomed President of India and presented her a shawl. President Droupadi Murmu along with Governors of Punjab & Haryana and Gupta lit the lamp to inaugurate the convocation.
As many as 669 BTech, 168 MTech and 34 PhD were awarded degrees during PEC’s 52nd convocation. Alumni of Punjab Engineering College Dharam Pal (IAS), presently serving as Advisor to Administrator UT Chandigarh was conferred with the Honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Honoris Causa on the occasion.
