Principal Association welcomes implementation of sixth pay commission
Says the state government has taken positive steps for development of higher education
Jalandhar: The Principals’ Association of GNDU affiliated aided colleges has welcomed Punjab government's decision of implementing recommendations for state employees. In its office bearers meeting presided over by its President Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, the association lauded the government for accepting this long pending demand of the state government employees.
Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra said that the state government had taken positive steps for development of higher education in the state and it was needed that it paid attention towards demands of the teachers of universities and college teachers too. He also appealed to the government to implement UGC scales according to the seventh pay commission for the teachers and other staff of the aided colleges along with those of state university and government colleges.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Gurdev Singh Randhawa Principal Guru Nanak College, Sukhchainana Sahib Phagwara, Dr. Ajay Sareen, Principal HMV, Dr. SK Arora Principal DAV, College , Jalandhar and Dr SK Tuli Principal SSM College Dina Nagar.
