Copyright granted for Foundation Programme innovated for new entrants and its book The Human Story
 
Jalandhar, September 25, 2021: Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been honoured with a Copyright from Copyright Office, Government of India. Copyright has been granted for the Foundation Programme innovated for the new entrants and for the book ‘The Human Story’ which carries articles on the various modules presented during the Foundation Program. Foundation program, a unique initiative of KMV’s Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi is a first of its kind program offered by any college in India for the new students which aims to bridge the gap between high school and higher education. The programme aims at strengthening students’ intellectual foundation by providing them a view of world issues, human intellectual history, making of modern India and other important areas of knowledge so they can carry forward the rich legacy of humanity as a responsible and humane citizens of the world. The book ‘The Human Story’ traces the journey of human evolution in a most vivid & detailed manner & focuses on the growth of human intellect right from the ancient times to modern times. It is worth a mention here that this program is being offered free of cost to all undergraduate students in the first semester as part of the Value Added Course in semester I at KMV. 
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such meaningful programs reiterate KMV’s commitment to the students’ meaningful futures and will also help them to forge ahead in their lives as it will lay a strong foundation for their holistic development. She further maintained that KMV is always a forerunner in initiating various educational reforms before anyone else & this acknowledgment by Government of India speaks a volume about KMV’s commitment to the futuristic & holistic education. It is worth mentioning that ‘Foundation Progam’ being run for new entrants to college for the past 10 years in KMV is in absolute sync with the objectives of New Education Policy of Government of India. KMV is providing progressive and futuristic education to students. Each semester has a Value-added program for students to ensure their holistic development. All these programs are innovative and developed at KMV. The leading academicians of the country and international scholars have deeply appreciated these new initiatives of KMV, from time to time.
