Print Shree conferred on Sandip Sanyal

During a glittering ceremony, in the Print Olympiad East Zone finale at the Regional Institute of Printing Technology (RIPT), Kolkata, the Offset Printers Association (OPA) presented the coveted ‘Print Shree’ award to Sandip Kr Sanyal, in recognition for his great contribution to the printing industry and his tireless efforts in organizing various programs and shows like the Eastern Print Pack.

Earlier reading the citation, Shankhya Debnath said, a former Rotarian Sandip Kr. Sanyal is a multi-dimensional personality, he is an accomplished printer and has rich and varied experience in the printing industry. He dedicated his life for the sake of development and growth of printing and packaging sector in his region, with the sole aim to serve for the society. By honouring Sandip Kr. Sanyal, Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) is acknowledging the debt of gratitude which the printers of the country owe to him. 

Presenting the citation to Sandip Haroprosad Mondal, Principal-in-Charge RIPT said, it is my privilege to be with such a personality and it is the honour of RIPT to host this presentation ceremony at its campus, so that the student gets inspired, to become the “Proud Printers” and how they can update themselves to the latest technologies in the printing industry.

Conferring the ‘Print Shree’ to Sandip, Professor Kamal Mohan Chopra highlighted that at OPA our motto is to give due recognition to the deserving, the people who are working for us with self-less goals. Recognition of deserving individuals is indeed crucial for maintaining a healthy and functional society. When the deserving is overlooked, it creates opportunities for unscrupulous individuals to exploit the system for their own gain. Without a culture of recognition and reward for merit, dishonesty, corruption, and nepotism can flourish, leading to a decline in overall societal well-being. It is noticed that these days we are passing through similar situation, therefore, our theme is to recognize and reward the contributions of deserving individuals to ensure a fair, just, and prosperous community for all.

Sanyal in his speech expressed his deep gratitude towards Prof Chopra and OPA for awarding the prestigious Print Shree to him and expressed his wish to serve the industry in the future as well. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr Shankhya Debnath. The event was attended by multiple members of the industry and academia and many students of printing technology. 

Later the West Bengal Master Printers’ Association (WBMPA) felicitated Sandip at its office in the presence of memebrs and other eminent printers.
