Printing Industry Giants AIFPP and BIGC Join Hands to Foster Global Talent and Innovation

In a landmark meeting at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC) recently, the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers (AIFPP) explored a transformative cooperation agreement with BIGC. This strategic partnership aims to foster international collaboration in the fields of printing, packaging, and publishing education, strengthening academic and industrial ties between India and China.

In a landmark meeting at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC) recently, the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers (AIFPP) explored a transformative cooperation agreement with BIGC. This strategic partnership aims to foster international collaboration in the fields of printing, packaging, and publishing education, strengthening academic and industrial ties between India and China.
The high-level discussions were led by Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra, representing AIFPP, alongside key officials from BIGC, including Liu Jiemin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Zhang Zhicheng, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office; Qi Yuansheng, Dean of the School of Printing & Packaging Engineering; and Wang Ying, Vice Director of the Foreign Affairs Office.
Key highlights of the collaboration include:
•    Student and Faculty Exchange: Both institutions agreed to expand the exchange of teachers and students between India and China, facilitating cross-cultural learning and collaboration.
•    Specialized Training Programs: AIFPP will send Indian printing industry professionals and educators to BIGC for short-term training programs, enhancing skills and knowledge transfer.
•    Joint Research & Development Centre: Plans were discussed to establish a joint R&D centre in India, in collaboration with BIGC, aimed at driving innovation and technological advancements in the printing and packaging sectors.
•    International Alliance for Publishing Education: BIGC announced its initiative to establish a global network for publishing education by June 2025, inviting Indian universities, enterprises, and associations to participate.
•    Academic Competitions & Events: Both institutions will jointly organize international academic activities, including competitions such as the Print Olympiad, encouraging participation from Indian and Chinese students and teachers.
Liu Jiemin expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "The establishment of the publishing education international alliance will create a platform for global cooperation, and we warmly invite Indian institutions to join us in this endeavour. Together, we can shape the future of printing and packaging education."
Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra emphasized the importance of this collaboration, saying, "This partnership between AIFPP and BIGC marks a milestone in the printing and packaging industry. By leveraging our collective strengths, we can nurture global talent, drive innovation, and set new standards of excellence in academia and industry."
The meeting concluded with a shared vision of fostering long-term cooperation between India and China in the printing and packaging sectors. AIFPP and BIGC aim to create a global ecosystem that promotes innovation, education, and industry growth, opening new avenues for students, educators, and professionals alike.
