Priyanki fulfills her mentally challenged brother’s dream by auditioning at Dance India Dance

India’s biggest ever dance reality show – Dance India Dance is back with season 4 and if the response to the very first episode is anything to go by, the rage, the passion, the frenzy, the mania for dance is all back … with a bang! Auditioning 19 cities with a panel of 3 new judges this season, the show promises to make its viewers “dance it out”! The journey of auditions has been heart-warming, packed with moments that give you a beautiful slice of human nature – it showcases the hopes, dreams and aspirations of millions of Indians who wish to channelize their talent productively and make a difference to their own lives and the lives of their loved ones! 

Touching is the story of young Priyanki who auditioned in Mumbai with her little brother watching her from his seat in the audience. Fulfilling the dream of her mentally challenged brother, Priyanki danced it out for her little brother who is bed-ridden and dreams to see Priyanki dance on television! DID, being his favourite show, Priyanki’s little brother was overjoyed on seeing his elder sister dance for him on stage. While Priyanki spoke about her brother’s dreams to the three judges, his eyes glistened with joy on seeing the DID stage. Talking about how happy she was to be there, Priyanki said, “He doesn’t talk, or respond to anything we say, but he loves to watch DID and each time he hears the title track of the show, his joy knows no bounds. He is the sole reason for my being here on this platform today.”

Understanding that the title track of the show is only played for those who win the Taqdeer Ki Topi, Priyanki requested the judges to play the track even though she had not made it to the next level - once just for her brother. And no sooner than the track was played, her brother began dancing and smiling to the tune. The three of them joined the brother-sister duo on the stage and danced to the track as well. While Master Feroz held the boy close to him in his arms, Master Shruti and Mudassar had tears in their eyes seeing the little boy jump with joy to the title track of the show. Seeing the little boy dance with joy, judge Shruti Merchant said, “There are very rare moments in one’s life when one is blessed to be a part of someone’s happiness and this moment is definitely one such! I am so proud to be on this platform today and be privileged to share the happiness of this little boy.”

The stage fulfils millions of dreams each year, and it seems like this season is going to be no different in helping millions accomplish their dreams and making their loved ones happy!
