Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik takes over as Principal of Dev Samaj College for Women
Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik has taken charge as Principal of Dev Samaj College for Women(DSCW) Sector 45-B Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, February 14, 2024: Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik has taken charge as Principal of Dev Samaj College for Women(DSCW) Sector 45-B Chandigarh.
Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee gave his blessings to Prof (Dr) Neeru Malik on her appointment.
Dr Agnese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee; Maanvinder Singh Mangat, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Dev Samaj Head Office and Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik’s husband Dr. Rakesh Malik, Deputy Director Physical Education and Sports, PU, were present along-with DSCW’s staff and students at the joining ceremony of Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik.
After warmly welcoming Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik; Dr. Agnese Dhillon congratulated the new Principal and remarked that under her dynamic leadership the college would achieve even greater heights.
Prof (Dr.) Neeru Malik has an academic career spanning more than two decades. Her list of achievements is long and noteworthy. She has held various important offices over the years before joining as the principal. She has twice been the member of Panjab University’s senate, since 2016. What’s more, she has been Dean Faculty of Design and Fine Arts of PU; Former Member Syndicate of PU; Former Secretary in Faculty of Education of PU; Member of PU's Board of Studies in Physical Education; Joint Secretary of Chandigarh Table Tennis Association, and life member of Journal of Education among other important assignments.
She is a recipient of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar National Award and has received Sports Promoter Award, Directorate Sports, Panjab University Chandigarh consecutively for more than 10 times. She has successfully guided 7 PhD Thesis and 4 MPhil dissertations. She has to her credit more than 40 research papers in national and international journals. She is a PU Silver Medalist in MA; Gold Medalist, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala and has earned specialization in Yoga with a Diploma in Naturopathy & Yoga (NDDY). She is also the first woman from Chandigarh to qualify for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
