PROF GURBHAJAN GILL’S BOOK “DHARTI NAAD” RELEASED

Ludhiana, November 30, 2018: The third edition of “Dharti Naad”, a book of Punjabi poet and former President of Punjabi Sahit Akademi Prof Gurbhajan Gill, was released by Chancellor of Central University of Punjab Bathinda and former vice chancellor of Punjabi University Patiala, Dr SS Johl. While speaking on the occasion, Dr SS Johl said that Prof Gill is capable of presenting complex topics of life in a simpler language as his writings consist of language of our motherland. He said that “Dharti Naad” consists of poems, songs, ghazals, rubayi’s, nazam’s etc. Dr Johl said that Prof Gill’s world famous poem “Lori” on female foeticide is also part of this book. Canada based NRI and founder of Punjab Bhawan Surrey Mr Sukhi Bath said that Prof Gurbhajan Gill is not only an excellent poet, but is also a farsighted Punjabi, who is concerned about his motherland. He said that it was only due to the advices of Prof Gill that Punjab Bhawan Surrey has become a reality. Mr Bath said that Prof Gill has a vast reader base which is spread across continents. Former Principal of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Dr (Col) Dalwinder Singh Grewal and Shiromani Journalist Mr Darshan Singh Makkar also appreciated the writings of Prof Gurbhajan Gill. Prof Gill thanked the guests present on the occasion and said that it is a matter of great pride that the third edition of his book “Dharti Naad” has been published and is also well received by the readers.
